After purchasing the business in 1905 near Stangelsville, Wisconsin, the original Dufeck owners moved to Denmark, Wisconsin, to take advantage of the proximity to the railroad. That was in 1912 and economical transportation was important to their business.

In 2005, we once again decided to take advantage of the railroad spur that still runs by our yard. Today, railroad cars of lumber, OSB, plywood and Metal are delivered to our yard, off-loaded, inventoried and reloaded for delivery throughout the Midwest. This program saves money for our customers and benefits the environment through reduced fuel consumption and reduced wear and tear on highways.
